TRAVEL TIPS

Tips On How To Book:
1. Be your own travel agent! I love doing research on where to go, what to eat, what to not miss out on
2. I recommend comparing travel websites such as expedia, travelocity, and cheaptickets. I typically use cheaptickets because they always have 16% off coupon codes for hotels if you have an account with them!
3. Some travel sites like expedia give you points that can be redeemed as money off on your next booking if you build up enough points!
4. A lot of those travel websites listed above have free cancellations with most hotels!

Safety Precautions Prior to Travel:
1. Always look what proper documentation you may need such as Visas and do this ahead of time!
2.  If you’re going to super adventurous places I suggest going to the CDC website to see what vaccinations they recommend
3. I like to know before hand if the place I’m visiting accepts majority their currency so I know how much money to exchange. I usually use my credit card where I can because I just don’t like having cash on me but to each their own!

Tips on Where to stay:
1. I always use trip advisor for everything like recommendations on restaurants, reviews on hotels and tours!
2. I ALWAYS search for any place whether its a hotel, restaurant, or location on Instagram to see what people post to get a better idea how something looks like instead of just reading reviews on trip advisor or yelp

Tips on Booking Flights:
1. I use google flights to compare airline prices! It essentially shows you a calendar where you can see the prices for each day and all the different option airlines. You can also filter the # of stops etc. I find this the most helpful for Euro trips to play around with what city I should go to next
2. Most airlines allow you to cancel within 24 hours of booking!
3. GET A CREDIT CARD THAT GIVES YOU POINTS. I have the chase sapphire preferred, Jet Blue’s Barclay Card, and American Airlines Citi AA Advantage card. I personally like the Chase sapphire Preferred the best for travel. It does not limit you to a specific airline, they give you great discounts and sick bonus sign ups. You can currently sign up and get 50,000 points which is good for $625 USD worth of travel which you basically earned yourself a free flight on your next vacation! I could go on about this card but then chase really should be giving me some commission 😉

Tips on what to do in each city:
1.  Find out if the city you’re going to offers any free walking tours! http://www.freetoursbyfoot.com has a bunch of cities on there! (I’ve only used them for New Orleans but thats because I was a little late in the game finding out about it)
2.  Download Viator! I use them to book 90% of my tours! Or at least take a look at the most popular kind of tours the place your visiting offers and then you can book elsewhere

Tips On How To Pack:
1. I like to make a list on my phone notes of what to pack prior to my trip and every time I think of something I add it to the list. I find is helpful because I have them saved so I often use this list for my next trip and tailor it as needed!
2. Packing cubes are life savors!! I was never and organized packer and would always struggle repacking my stuff every day on trips because of course the cute top I want to wear is at the bottom of my suitcase! This makes life so much easier and be purchased on amazon
