London is like a cooler version of New York literally and metaphorically. We went for the weekend in June and luckily it was the warmest its been in a while (high 70’s and plenty of sun).
I found London to be pretty pricey especially if you want to stay in a good hotel in a prime location. We stayed in Park Plaza County Hall. This is a really good chain of hotels all around London and I highly recommend them.
There are a lot of things to do in London, so if youre thinking of doing a lot of tourist attractions I recommend buying the London Pass. You can choose how many days you want it for and you basically pay a one time amount and it gives you access to majority of the most popular attractions.
Some places I recommend visiting are:
- The British Museum
- Tower Bridge
- House of Parliament
- Westminster Abby
- Churchill War Rooms
- Big Ben
- London Eye
- Victoria & Albert Museum
- Platform 9 3/4 for any Harry Potter Fans
- London Zoo
- Regents Park
- Buckingham Palace (look at the schedule prior to see when there is the changing of the guards)
- Kensington Palace (after the palace make sure to walk through the stunning garden)
- St. Pauls Cathedral
- Hyde Park (reminded me of Central Park)
- Harrods of course if you’re into shopping like I am
Although I had all of those things on my list I didn’t get to do some of those things because it was the Royal Ascot that weekend and we spontaneously got tickets through family who live there and had a blast!! It was an all day thing of basically having a giant picnic with food and drinks and betting all your money on horses.

Going out recommendations:
- Radio Rooftop Bar at the Strand
- Project Club London
